Coco Peat Discs

Compact growing media for seed starting, nurseries and potted plants.

Our coco peat discs are a convenient way to prepare growing media directly in pots and propagation trays. Made from coconut coir pith compressed into round discs, they expand when watered, so there is less loose substrate to measure and handle.

The expanded coco peat holds moisture while providing air spaces around roots. Disc size and material grade are matched to the container and crop, from fine material for seed starting to coarser blends for flowering and potted plants.

Compact to store and simple to prepare, the discs suit commercial nurseries, greenhouse growers, garden retailers and home gardeners. Share your pot or tray dimensions and growing requirements and we will propose a suitable specification.

How to use

  1. 01Place the disc in a suitable pot or tray cell with drainage.
  2. 02Add water gradually and allow it to expand fully.
  3. 03Gently loosen the material if needed and let excess water drain.
  4. 04Sow seeds or insert cuttings, then manage watering and feeding for the crop.

Bare discs should stay supported by a suitable container after expansion. Netted plugs use a surrounding mesh to help hold the growing medium together during handling.
